About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Benefits Analyst to join our Employee Benefits Consulting Practice within the National Accounts Team at HUB International Limited.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive support to assigned clients, conducting full life cycle reviews and analyses of employee benefit plans.
  • Prepare client-facing reports, including renewals, actuarial valuations, financial statements, marketing, plan design, and other relevant documents.
  • Conduct marketing exercises, including preparing and submitting specifications to insurance carriers, reviewing and providing technical analysis and recommendations on marketing responses, and preparing marketing reports.
  • Peer review and provide feedback on work for team members.
  • Prepare experience reports, including projections for renewals.
  • Maintain and update client files.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients via phone or email to assess and fulfill their employee benefits requirements.
  • Coordinate with insurance carriers as required.
  • Conduct industry research on issues and trends affecting client benefits plans.
  • Assist with special projects as required.
  • Attend and participate in client meetings as needed.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education and/or related courses in group benefits (CEBS) or actuarial studies.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the group insurance industry, with prior consulting and/or insurance background preferred.
  • LLQP an asset.
  • Solid knowledge of Canadian benefits industry, including group benefits financial underwriting requirements for all types of employee benefits plans.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong team player and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and follow-up skills.
