Process Development Manager

About the Opportunity: WSP Canada is seeking a highly experienced professional to join our dynamic team as a Process Development Manager.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, optimizing, and implementing engineering processes that enhance clients' operational efficiency and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Optimization: Perform conceptual, feasibility, and detailed engineering design work for process improvements.
- Laboratory Support: Develop and support laboratory testing protocols for paste backfill operations, including thickening, filtration, rheology, and backfill unconfined compressive strength.
- Project Management: Lead project management or engineering management duties as required.
- Audits and Troubleshooting: Perform audits and troubleshooting of existing mine infrastructure.
- Travel and Supervision: Travel to project sites as required and provide on-site support supervision in construction settings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering.
- 15+ years of relevant consulting or operating experience in a mining or mill setting.
- Demonstrated background in elements of design or operation of backfill plants (hydraulic fill, paste fill, cemented rockfill), plant, surface tailings disposal systems, underground or surface mine infrastructure, material handling, and comminution processes.
- Possess Professional Engineer accreditation in the province of Ontario or other Canadian province.
- Valid driver's license and passport.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum.
