Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full-Time Team Lead to join our sales and operations team at adidas. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the sales, profitability, and operational goals of our store by guiding our hourly associates in their day-to-day procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Guidance: Provide leadership and guidance to our hourly associates to ensure excellent customer service and maximize sales.
  2. Training and Development: Conduct one-on-one and/or small group training presentations for Sales Associates on product knowledge, store activities, job duties, and established policies and procedures.
  3. Documentation and Administration: Perform or assist in the completion of all documentation associated with applicants and new hires.
  4. Merchandising and Visual Display: Assist management staff to display merchandise such as clothes, footwear, and accessories in windows, showcases, and on the sales floor to attract attention and promote sales.
  5. Staff Development and Communication: Effectively utilize customer service, training, educational tools, and communication to develop staff in relation to division goals.
  6. Inventory Management: Originate displays of merchandise or follow suggestions or schedules provided by the store management team.
  7. Labor Cost Control: Assist with staffing and labor cost control standards and effectively maintain same.
  8. Point of Sale System: Attain proficiency with the point of sale system by acquiring system utilization skills and ensure integrity is maintained through attention to policy and procedure.
  9. Cash Handling and Customer Service: Complete regular sales transactions involving cash, credit, checks, etc.
  10. Stockroom and Sales Floor Management: Involved indirectly with ticketing of products as well as checking paperwork against items received.
  11. Product Flow and Sales Floor Maintenance: Assist in product flow from stockroom to sales floor on a fill-in basis.
  12. Communication and Progress Updates: Communicate product levels and assortments with management.
  13. Project Management: Communicate progress on assigned projects such as floor change outs, processing shipments, sales/markdown set-ups.
  14. Store Upkeep and Support: Perform sales, customer service, merchandising within section, special order, cashiering, stock location, and related store upkeep support duties in order to maintain needed staff coverage and lead by example.
  15. Customer Complaint Resolution: Listen to customer complaints, examine returned merchandise, and resolve problems to restore and promote good public relations.
  16. Salesmanship and Training: Ensure the highest level of adidas service is given to each customer.
  17. Sales Techniques and Training: Use selling techniques such as add-on sales and describing technical information to customers to enhance salesmanship and reach store and position sales goals. Use these techniques to train other employees.
  18. Additional Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
Requirements
  1. Education: Must have or be pursuing a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  2. Experience: Three to six months retail experience is preferred.
