We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Coastal/Hydrotechnical Project Lead to join our team at Tetra Tech in Vancouver, BC. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented engineer with experience in coastal engineering, oceanography, and project management.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in leading complex projects from conceptual design to detailed engineering and construction stages. You will be responsible for managing teams, developing project plans, and ensuring timely completion of projects within budget.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing project scopes, cost estimates, and schedules
  • Liaising with clients and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
  • Leading and mentoring project teams
  • Coordinating with experts in various fields to deliver high-quality results

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Master's or Ph.D. in coastal engineering, oceanography, or a related field
  • Registration as a P.Eng. in British Columbia (or another Canadian province)
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in coastal engineering and project management
  • Experience with leading-edge tools such as SWAN, XBeach, H3D, Delft 3D, and CFD software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
