Job Title: LensCrafters Lab Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team at LensCrafters. As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for manufacturing eyewear in accordance with our Quality Manufacturing Program, ensuring speed and reliability of service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce high-quality eyewear through the utilization of the Quality Manufacturing Program, including selecting lenses, marking, taping, blocking, generating, fining, and polishing.
  • Operate laboratory tools and equipment, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
  • Strive to improve technical knowledge through the completion of the Quality Manufacturing Program and apply that knowledge in the production of all eyewear.
  • Perform multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy and thoroughness, despite time pressures and customer volume.
  • Utilize product knowledge to determine the best manufacturing process for both routine and special orders, ensuring the production of top-quality eyewear within expected delivery times.
Requirements:
  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Strong customer service skills (internal and external)
  • Strong communicator and listener
  • Strong basic math skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Strong inter-personal skills (friendly, caring, patient)
  • Knowledge of store merchandise
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Optical training
  • Previous experience in optical
  • Experience with machinery
