Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the creation of original and breaking news content on our streaming channels, daily news programs, and digital platforms.
  • Liaise with the assignment desk, reporters, production team, and national producers to determine story coverage plans.
  • Maintain editorial sign-off before publishing stories, ensuring they adhere to the Rogers News Policy and Inclusive Content Guide.

Requirements:

  • An insatiable curiosity and a passion for exploring new ways of producing news.
  • Strong editorial judgement and the ability to grow professionally in a fast-paced newsroom.
  • Flexibility to work regular evenings, weekends, and holidays.
