About the Role

We are seeking a Community Service Worker to join our team at the Developmental Disabilities Association. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing life skills workshops and assessing clients' relevant skill strengths and development needs. You will also assist clients/guests with special needs and provide support to help them achieve their goals.

Responsibilities
  • Implement life skills workshops to promote independence and self-sufficiency
  • Assess clients' relevant skill strengths and development needs to create personalized plans
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs in daily activities and tasks
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of developmental disabilities and their impact on individuals and families
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, staff, and community partners
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A valid Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
