Job Summary

Petro Canada is seeking a skilled Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the cleaning and maintenance operations of our facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our sites, as well as coordinating the activities of our cleaning staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hiring and Training: Hire and train or arrange for the training of cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Supervision and Coordination: Supervise and coordinate the activities of cleaning staff to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that cleanliness and safety standards are met.
  • Budgeting and Cost Estimation: Prepare budget and cost estimates for cleaning and maintenance operations.
  • Additional Services: Recommend or arrange for additional services required, such as painting, repair work, renovations, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Assisting Cleaners: Assist cleaners in performing their duties as needed.
  • Coordination with Other Departments: Coordinate work activities with other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Work Schedules: Establish work schedules for cleaning staff to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field

Work Environment:

  • Permanent position
  • 30 to 40 hours per week
  • English language
