CAD Designer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to collaborate with our multi-disciplined engineering, design, and project teams.

The successful candidate will work with AutoCAD and other related products to develop design drawings, create, edit, and modify drawings based on design provided by engineers.

  • Develop and read reinforced concrete and steel drawings, as well as mechanical and shop drawings.
  • Foundation Layout Plans and Concrete Foundation Detail Drawings.
  • Assist with design tasks, including calculations, load rating, structural modeling and analyses, detailing, quantity and cost estimates, under the supervision of a senior engineer.
  • Meet project schedule and quality requirements with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide interdepartmental support, including Civil, Electrical, Substation, T&D, etc.

Requirements:

  • College Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, or Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 5 or more years of relevant AutoCAD design experience.
  • High proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD.
  • Proficient use of Inventor or SolidWorks.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, construction, and civil plans.
  • Experience with structural steel, reinforced concrete, or steel plate.
  • Understanding of engineering principles and assembly, fabrication, and construction workflows.
  • Knowledge of project management software and computer applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
