Job Summary

Lightmatter is seeking a highly skilled CAD Engineer to support our IC design teams in the development of cutting-edge analog mixed-signal flow automation. As a CAD Engineer, you will be responsible for administering the CAD EDA environment, supporting design flows, and developing scripts to enhance design team productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer the CAD EDA environment for analog, digital, photonics, and package design teams.
  • Support design flows from EDA vendors like Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor, Keysight, Ansys, and others.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure for custom PDK development, including custom pcells, models, DRC, LVS, and extraction.
  • Install and track foundry PDKs, including creating automated regression testing.
  • Assist the infrastructure team in ensuring the availability and performance of computing resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of CAD engineering experience.
  • 2 years of experience in scripting languages such as SKILL and Python or Bash.
  • Proficient in using industry-standard design software, including Cadence Virtuoso, Cadence/Calibre DRC, LVS tools.
  • Experience supporting design teams working with analog and digital design flows.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with remote teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with supporting DRC and/or LVS decks.
