Forensic Toxicology Professor

The Department of Anthropology at the University of Toronto Mississauga invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in the area of Forensic Analytical Toxicology as part of the Forensic Science Program. This appointment will be at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a strong research program in Analytical Toxicology, with a proven track record of professional practice activities.
- Teach in a degree-granting program at the undergraduate level, including lecture preparation and delivery, curriculum development, and online material development.
- Conduct innovative independent research and maintain an outstanding, competitive, and externally funded research program.
- Collaborate with relevant tri-campus departments and pursue cross-appointment at the graduate level.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Earned PhD degree in Chemistry or Toxicology, with an emphasis on bench-based analytical chemistry or forensic toxicology.
- Demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching.
- Experience in a forensic laboratory or as an independent forensic consultant is preferred.
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance protocols and accreditation processes for forensic labs.
