Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Penticton Regional Hospital. As a key member of our support services team, you will be responsible for supervising designated staff, planning menus, and monitoring food quality and inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise staff by scheduling, coordinating work assignments, and providing feedback.

• Collaborate with the Clinical Dietitian to develop menus and recipes tailored to patient needs.

• Estimate food requirements, order supplies, and resolve discrepancies with suppliers.

• Visit patients and family members to gather diet-related information.

• Monitor expenditures, make budget recommendations, and resolve discrepancies.

• Evaluate meal quality, ensuring established standards are met.

• Coordinate meal preparation, pricing, and other duties for community services like Meals on Wheels.

• Assist in maintaining facility services by coordinating cafeteria operations, including pricing, staffing, and securing funds.

• Perform audits to ensure food service and quality assurance standards are met.

• Monitor storage of food, supplies, and related items.
