Project Engineer Role at EBC Inc.

The estimated annual salary for this role is $95,000 to $130,000 CAD depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description
  • As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, and execution of civil infrastructure projects in Ontario.
  • You will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the PM in project planning, scheduling, and monitoring, including preparation of project status reports.
  2. Ensure compliance with local legislation, labor laws, and Company policies and procedures.
  3. Manage project budgets, track costs, and prepare forecasts.
  4. Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  5. Monitor project progress and take corrective action as needed.
  6. Prepare project cost status reports, including percent complete, cost to date, and cost forecast.
  7. Coordinate subcontractor work execution and contracts.
  8. Implement and monitor Company Safety Policy and Program.
  9. Implement and monitor Company Quality Assurance Program and related requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience.
  • Technical background with professional accreditation (P.Eng./ CET) or combination of technical training and/or related experience.
  • Experience in contracting industry (heavy civil preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
