At VIA Rail, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in the design and construction of maintenance centers, as well as other large-scale projects.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have between 5 and 10 years of relevant experience in rail transit infrastructure or rail facility infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, working with minimal supervision, and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct design reviews, quality audits, and site reviews to ensure compliance with contractual and safety requirements;
  • Monitor and manage testing and quality records, resolve deficiencies, and facilitate handover processes;
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, or delays and coordinate resolution efforts;
  • Determine and monitor project scope, budget, and deadlines, scheduling and reporting to mitigate risks and delays;
Requirements
  • A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field related to the position, such as Building sciences, Engineering, or Business Administration;
  • Between 5 and 10 years of experience in rail transit infrastructure or rail facility infrastructure;
  • Ability to travel occasionally across Canada and work interprovincially;
  • Independence and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Excellent command of the English language, with proficiency in French being a valuable asset;
