Job Title: Staff Respiratory Therapist

At St. Boniface Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide therapeutic, diagnostic, and technical respiratory therapy services to our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide respiratory therapy services, including Pulmonary Function testing, to patients of all ages.
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest respiratory therapy techniques and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the Manitoba Association of Registered Respiratory Therapists (MARRT) is required.
  • Successful completion of the in-house Pulmonary Functions training program or equivalent is required.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training and Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification are required.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and proficiency in software applications is an asset.
Working Conditions:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Ability to lift heavy medical equipment and push wheeled equipment.
  • Ability to work extended hours, including weekends and nights.
  • Exposure to infectious diseases, blood, and body fluids.
