About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our Mental Health and Substance Use program, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to individuals and families affected by mental illness and substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to identify their mental health and substance use needs, and develop individualized treatment plans to address these needs.
  2. Therapeutic Interventions: Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients, using evidence-based practices and trauma-informed approaches to promote recovery and rehabilitation.
  3. Case Management: Coordinate services with other healthcare providers, community resources, and social services to ensure seamless care and support for clients.
  4. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
  5. Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of mental health services and promote best practices within the organization.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as psychology, social work, or counseling.
  • Registration with a professional college or association, such as the College of Psychologists of British Columbia or the British Columbia Association of Social Workers.
  • Experience working with individuals and families affected by mental illness and substance use disorders.
  • Strong assessment and treatment planning skills, with the ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
