Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to identify their mental health and substance use needs, and develop individualized treatment plans to address these needs.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients, using evidence-based practices and trauma-informed approaches to promote recovery and rehabilitation.
- Case Management: Coordinate services with other healthcare providers, community resources, and social services to ensure seamless care and support for clients.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of mental health services and promote best practices within the organization.
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as psychology, social work, or counseling.
- Registration with a professional college or association, such as the College of Psychologists of British Columbia or the British Columbia Association of Social Workers.
- Experience working with individuals and families affected by mental illness and substance use disorders.
- Strong assessment and treatment planning skills, with the ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
