Job Title: Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapy Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Hand Therapy Program as a part-time Hand Therapist. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to provide assessment, therapy, and education to individuals with upper extremity injuries or conditions.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement patient-centered treatment programs to optimize function and independence in everyday activities
  • Provide splinting, wound management, scar management, pain management, sensation retraining, strengthening, and range of motion exercises to improve hand function
  • Support plastic and orthopedic surgeons in hospital clinics with assessment and treatment of patients, including static and dynamic splinting, education, and therapeutic activities
Requirements:
  • Member in good standing of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a Hand Therapy program, including supporting plastic surgeons in hospital clinics
  • Reliable, flexible, and creative professional with excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a high-performance interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
  • Sound knowledge of community resources is an asset
