Job Title: ECE Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring ECE Assistant to join our team at Fine Art Montessori Childcare Centre Inc.

Job Summary:

The ECE Assistant will work under the supervision of early childhood educators to assist in the implementation of programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging children in activities, preparing snacks, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
Requirements:
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a childcare setting.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English language proficiency.
  • Ability to work 30 to 40 hours per week.
