Job Title: ECE Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic ECE Assistant to join our team at Fine Art Montessori Childcare Centre Inc.

Job Summary

The ECE Assistant will work under the supervision of early childhood educators to assist in the implementation of programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing activities that promote children's learning and development.
  • Support the preparation of snacks and the arrangement of rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and preparing crafts.
  • Assist in keeping records of children's progress and observations.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and problems.
  • Work a regular schedule of 30-40 hours per week.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a childcare setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Work Setting

The ECE Assistant will work in a child care centre setting, providing support to early childhood educators and engaging with children in a variety of activities.

Language

The primary language of communication is English.
