About the Role

BDO is seeking a seasoned Proposal Manager to join our Strategic Pursuit Centre team. As a key member of our pursuit management team, you will be responsible for managing the pursuit process across the country for both our public and private sector marketplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the intake process for engaging new clients, assessing opportunities, and assigning support levels.
  • Lead the resources within the private and public sector teams to ensure optimal utilization, high-quality deliverables, and risk mitigation.
  • Coach junior team members to develop their career growth and meet with them regularly.
  • Ensure seamless collaboration with the national sales office, sharing sales intelligence, and working on sales teams.
  • Support the entire proposal process, from proposal kick-off to final submission, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide RFx review and analysis, custom response template development, and end-to-end pursuit management.
  • Work to ensure BDO's responses to solicitations are competitive, compliant, and high-scoring.
  • Support the orals presentation process and assist with debriefs for each win/loss.
Requirements
  • University degree in communications, marketing, business, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of work experience in proposal coordination, development, and management.
  • Experience with understanding the proposal process in both private and public sector industries.
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, communication, and consensus management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines.
  • Process improvement mindset and experience in virtual pursuit leadership and cultivating cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
