Job Title: Proposal Specialist

BDO is seeking a skilled Proposal Specialist to join our team of dedicated professionals providing pursuit management support and advisory services to the firm's most strategic pursuits nationally.

About the Role

The Proposal Specialist will be responsible for supporting the entire pursuit process for strategic proposal responses from proposal kick-off, project management, to final submission. This includes providing high-quality deliverables, managing all aspects of the pursuit to mitigate potential risks, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders throughout the proposal process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the pursuit process for strategic proposal responses
  • Provide high-quality deliverables and manage pursuit risks
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Review and analyze RFx responses, develop custom response templates, and manage end-to-end pursuit processes
  • Share sales intelligence with the firm's national sales office
  • Ensure BDO's responses to solicitations are competitive, compliant, and high-scoring
  • Support orals presentations and debriefs for wins and losses
  • Adhere to BDO's International Corporate Visual Identity Standards and National brand standards
Requirements
  • University degree in communications, marketing, business, or related discipline
  • 3-5+ years of work experience in proposal coordination, development, and management
  • Experience with understanding the proposal process in both private and public sector industries
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, communication, and consensus management skills
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines
  • Process improvement mindset and experience with virtual pursuit leadership and cross-functional team collaboration
  • Strong experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a professional services firm
  • Bilingual (French and English) an asset
  • Experience in managing other team members/resources
  • Ability to work in an agile environment
