Job Title: Landscaping Foreman/Woman

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscaping Foreman/Woman to join our team at Alpha Better Landscaping Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, and execution of landscaping projects, including planting, construction, and maintenance of outdoor spaces. This is a key role that requires strong leadership and technical skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and direct the planting of trees, gardens, and lawns, ensuring high-quality results and meeting client expectations.
  • Hire, supervise, and schedule staff to ensure efficient project execution and effective team management.
  • Organize and direct the construction of decks, decorative or retaining walls, and other landscape features, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Resolve work problems by providing technical advice and recommending measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Maintain accurate work records and logs, and read blueprints and drawings to ensure project accuracy.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed, and repair and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in landscaping or a related field, with a strong background in project management and team leadership.
  • Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA) certification or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and high expectations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and other stakeholders.
