Job Description

Immediate Hire: Field Supervisor(s) for Large-Scale Landscape Construction Projects

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Supervisor to lead our team in large-scale landscape construction projects. As a Field Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling key construction activities, establishing production priorities, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage the day-to-day activities of crew members and sub-contractors
  • Participate in construction activities and support the team in achieving daily production targets
  • Implement operating methods and procedures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Review project specifications, scope of work, and site conditions to establish project schedules and priorities
  • Identify hazards and potential obstacles during project construction and recommend solutions
  • Ensure the overall health and safety of crew members and job site
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluation to direct reports
  • Identify needs for supplies, materials, and equipment and report to the Superintendent
  • Accountable for assigned trucks, trailers, bobcats, and other tools/equipment
  • Conduct daily reviews of project production status and resolve on-site operational, human resource, and technical problems
  • Develop and maintain client relationships for each project
  • Attend project meetings as a representative of the company
  • Provide daily production and activity reports, communication logs, and other relevant information and documents
Requirements:
  • 2 years of Field Supervisory experience or large-scale landscape construction experience
  • A Class 5 driver's license is required
  • Experience operating landscaping and construction equipment
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, subordinates, and other colleagues
  • Ability to effectively oversee the work activities of direct reports
  • Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Physical capabilities: heavy lifting up to 50 lbs, physically demanding requiring walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for long periods of time
