Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Coordinator to join our team at Harris Corporate Interiors Inc.

About the Role

This permanent full-time position is responsible for coordinating and executing transportation operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods and services. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be accountable for maintaining a safe and professional driving record, adhering to regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and drive company vehicles, including automobiles, vans, and light trucks, to pick up and deliver various items and products in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of items received and delivered, as well as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any issues encountered during transport.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Develop and implement effective transportation plans to meet business needs and minimize costs.
  • Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless transportation operations.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
Requirements
  • Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Have experience operating a variety of vehicles, including automobiles, vans, and light trucks.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
