About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at We Care Rehab Clinic. This is a permanent position offering 32-40 hours of work per week.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing exceptional patient care and supporting physiotherapists and occupational therapists in the assessment and rehabilitation of patients with various injuries or disabilities.

This role involves administering tests using equipment, instructing patients on test procedures, recording results, and monitoring, checking, and calibrating auditory equipment. The Physiotherapy Assistant will also be responsible for assessing patients' physical abilities, assisting healthcare professionals, and carrying out treatment programs under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists.

Responsibilities
  • Administer tests and equipment to patients
  • Instruct patients on test procedures and record results
  • Monitor, check, and calibrate auditory equipment
  • Assess patients' physical abilities
  • Assist healthcare professionals in the assessment and treatment of patients
  • Carry out treatment programs under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Experience an asset
