We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at Arvan Rehab Group in Hamilton, Ontario.

The successful candidate will work closely with our physiotherapist to provide exceptional care to residents in a long-term care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with conducting group exercises for residents and leading one-on-one exercises as directed by the physiotherapist.
  • Encourage residents to reach their treatment goals by promoting engagement and motivation.
  • Document treatments and resident progress accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide safe transfers and mobility assistance to residents.
  • Monitor changes in resident health status and report to the physiotherapist or supervisor.
  • Perform various treatments as instructed, such as applying ice packs or hot packs.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Physiotherapy Assistant graduate degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with elderly residents, supervisors, and colleagues.
  • Experience working in a long-term care or retirement home setting in Ontario is essential.
  • A valid police check for the vulnerable sector and current 2-step TB test or chest X-ray are required.
