About the Role

Craft Flooring Limited is seeking a skilled Vinyl Floor Installer to join our team. As a Vinyl Floor Installer, you will be responsible for installing high-quality vinyl flooring in various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with vinyl flooring.
  • Underlayment Installation: Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding to ensure a smooth installation process.
  • Flooring Planning: Prepare flooring plans and scheduling to meet customer needs.
  • Carpet Installation: Measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors, including direct glue-down and double-bond installations.
  • Hardwood Floor Installation: Prepare and install hardwood floors to meet customer specifications.
  • Floor Repair: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings to ensure a safe and durable installation.
  • Estimation and Material Management: Estimate costs and materials required for each installation project.
  • Pre-Installation Preparation: Prepare floors for installations by removing existing floor coverings and contaminants.
  • Specialized Installations: Install carpeting on walls or other surfaces as required.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role requires a high level of physical fitness, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling. The work environment is varied, with installations taking place in different locations.

Requirements
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the flooring industry.
  • Work Schedule: 32 to 44 hours per week, with a permanent employment contract.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
