Job Title: Flooring Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Specialist to join our team at Home Flooring Inc. as a permanent employee.

Job Description:Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with flooring materials.
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding for a smooth installation.
  • Measure, cut, and install carpeting, hardwood floors, and resilient floor coverings.
  • Prepare and install hardwood floors, ensuring a high-quality finish.
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings to maintain a safe and attractive environment.
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations to ensure a successful outcome.
  • Prepare floors for installations, including cleaning and preparing the surface.
  • Employ knee kickers and other equipment to stretch carpeting and ensure a tight fit.
  • Perform direct glue-down carpet installations for a seamless look.
  • Install resilient stair components, including special effects for the visually impaired.
  • Install vinyl decking materials for a durable and low-maintenance finish.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installations.

Requirements:
  • Own vehicle for transportation to job sites
  • Willingness to travel for work-related purposes
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Safety equipment and gear, including steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, gloves, and mask
