Job Title: Flooring Installation Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Flooring Installation Specialist to join our team at Home Flooring Inc. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing various types of flooring, including hardwood, carpet, and resilient flooring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Install carpeting, hardwood floors, and resilient floor coverings
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Employ knee kickers and other equipment to stretch carpeting
  • Perform direct glue-down carpet installations
  • Install resilient stair components and vinyl decking materials
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications

Requirements:

  • Experience in flooring installation
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Own vehicle and willingness to travel
