We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Operational Excellence Program Manager to join AFG in Alberta or British Columbia.

This diverse role offers various projects to keep you engaged.

The Operational Excellence Program Manager will develop, implement, refine, and monitor systems and initiatives to improve operational processes and results across the All-Fab Group of companies.

This critical role combines Industrial Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, Production Management, and Project Management expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance policies, procedures, and service systems to support AFG's goals for improving yields, efficiency, and innovation.
  • Demonstrate positive leadership and build effective relationships with all team members at AFG.
  • Drive continuous improvement by developing new business strategies for creating or improving processes and procedures.
  • Implement operational scorecards for manufacturing divisions.
  • Advocate for the company's Health and Safety program.
  • Develop a capacity resource planning system.
  • Manage projects as part of the Al-Fab Group production system implementation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Wood Products Processing or Industrial Engineering or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing and/or processing environment.
  • Technical skills and data analytics experience.
  • PMP certification is an asset.
  • Continuous improvement training and experience in Toyota Production System or equivalent.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Leadership skills with a focus on operations and business processes.
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy.

$90,000 - $110,000 per year
