Job Title: Reliability Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team at McCain Foods in Carberry, Manitoba. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the safety program and departmental safety requests
  • Develop and maintain a strong safety culture
  • Manage or assist with multi-million dollar capital projects
  • Assist with reliability analysis of new designs to determine system, asset, and component reliability
  • Make specific recommendations to improve machinery performance and reliability based on analysis of process and failure data
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of reliability KPIs
  • Direct and lead the maintenance of a record-keeping system consistent with a world-class reliability program
  • Perform statistical analysis on machinery failure data and work order data to determine whether adjustments to the Engineered Maintenance Strategy are warranted
  • Lead the Root Cause Failure Analysis effort for sporadic equipment failures
  • Supervise contracted services within the factory as required
  • Liaise with corporate support for project management initiatives
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering required
  • Strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills, including root cause analysis and statistical analysis
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
  • Solid understanding of proactive maintenance systems and continuous improvement strategies
  • Technical knowledge of production equipment, electrical systems, PLCs, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, maintenance, and construction priorities is preferred but not required
