Job Summary

GRUPO TRANSBUS is seeking a skilled Mechanic Supervisor to join our team in Châteauguay. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate maintenance activities, including repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Supervise and train a team of mechanics to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and programs to minimize downtime and optimize fleet performance.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Director to align maintenance activities with business objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers and other stakeholders to resolve mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs, inventory, and supplies.
  • Ensure all vehicles are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and appearance.

Requirements

  • DEP in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in heavy vehicle maintenance, preferably with bus experience.
  • Specialized knowledge of electrical and electronic troubleshooting.
  • PEP certification.
  • Class 1 or 2 driver's license (asset).
  • Excellent planning, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in computer systems (MIR) (asset).
