Job Summary
GRUPO TRANSBUS is seeking a skilled Mechanic Supervisor to join our team in Châteauguay. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our bus fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate maintenance activities, including repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize fleet performance.
- Manage and oversee the work of maintenance personnel, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Coordinate with operations teams to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities.
- Perform routine inspections and diagnose mechanical issues to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective parts procurement.
- Monitor and analyze maintenance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements
- DEP in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in heavy vehicle maintenance, preferably with a focus on bus maintenance.
- Specialized knowledge of electrical and electronic systems.
- PEP certification.
- Class 1 or 2 driver's license (an asset).
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in personnel management.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in computer systems, including MIR (an asset).
