Job Summary

GRUPO TRANSBUS is seeking a skilled Mechanic Supervisor to join our team in Châteauguay. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our bus fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate maintenance activities, including repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize fleet performance.
  • Supervise and train maintenance personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Coordinate with operations teams to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with business needs.
  • Manage inventory and supplies to ensure that maintenance personnel have the necessary resources to perform their duties.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to reduce maintenance costs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives.

Requirements

  • DEP in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in heavy vehicle maintenance, preferably with buses.
  • Specialized knowledge of electrical and electronic systems.
  • PEP certification.
  • Class 1 or 2 driver's license (an asset).
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in personnel management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in computer systems (MIR) (an asset).
