Manufacturing Operations Director

Smart Skin Technologies is seeking a visionary Director of Manufacturing Strategy & Operations to spearhead the transformation and scaling of our manufacturing processes. As a key member of our leadership team, you will drive innovation, optimize supply chains, and ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute a transformative manufacturing vision for the next 3-5 years, aligning with our company's growth objectives.
- Optimize lab-scale manufacturing for scalability, implementing cost-effective and innovative methods to drive efficiency.
- Outsource and manage relationships with contract manufacturers and assembly partners, ensuring seamless collaboration and quality delivery.
- Develop procedures to minimize errors and quality issues, guaranteeing deliverables meet budgets and timelines.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize product design for scalable manufacturing, ensuring alignment with business needs and market demands.
- Oversee logistics, inventory management, vendor relations, and warehouse operations, enhancing supply chain efficiency to support growth.
As a leader, you will drive a step change in team productivity, ensuring a smooth transition to new performance expectations and operating culture. You will lead and mentor cross-functional teams, including assembly, quality assurance, calibration, and supply chain, managing recruitment, hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
Quality and Compliance:You will ensure production meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with ISO 9001:2015 as well as federal and provincial regulations. With 10 years of experience in leading high-quality manufacturing assembly operations, you will bring a proven track record of success and a strong background in outsourcing manufacturing processes and supply chain optimization.
