Job Summary:

Smart Skin Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Manufacturing Strategy and Operations to lead the transformation and scaling of our manufacturing processes. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a transformative manufacturing vision, optimizing lab-scale manufacturing for scalability, and implementing cost-effective, innovative methods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a transformative manufacturing vision for the next 3-5 years, aligning with the company's overall strategy and goals.
  • Lead the actions required to scale existing operations while achieving the new vision, ensuring seamless integration with cross-functional teams.
  • Optimize lab-scale manufacturing for scalability, implementing cost-effective, innovative methods to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Outsource and manage relationships with contract manufacturers and assembly partners, ensuring high-quality products and timely delivery.
  • Set benchmark expectations, hold teams accountable, and deliver progress reports to ensure the company's manufacturing operations are meeting or exceeding expectations.
  • Develop procedures to minimize errors and quality issues, ensuring deliverables meet budgets and timelines.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize product design for scalable manufacturing, ensuring products meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Oversee logistics, inventory management, vendor relations, and warehouse operations, while enhancing supply chain efficiency to support growth.
Requirements:
  • 10 years of experience in leading high-quality manufacturing assembly operations, with a proven track record of success in transforming and scaling manufacturing processes.
  • Energetic and engaging personality with a natural propensity for strong daily management and leading change.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute a transformative manufacturing vision, with excellent strategic planning, project management, and process improvement skills.
  • Strong background in outsourcing manufacturing processes and supply chain optimization, with experience in managing relationships with contract manufacturers and assembly partners.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities, with a proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements, with a strong understanding of quality management systems and lean manufacturing principles.
