About the Role

Parkgate Community Services Society is seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Age Care and Summer Camp Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our child care and youth services team, you will be responsible for planning and leading inclusive before and after school programs for children aged 5-12, as well as overseeing the delivery of exceptional child care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff hiring, scheduling, training, and development
  • Maintaining positive and professional relationships with employees, families, and external partners
  • Coordinating and monitoring the provision of a nurturing, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate child care program
  • Planning and implementing activities and experiences for individual and group needs of all children
  • Following policies and procedures of Parkgate Society and the Child Care department
  • Maintaining and completing administrative tasks in an accurate manner
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and Parkgate Society's policies and procedures
Qualifications
  • Responsible Adult training and certification
  • Current First Aid certification (minimum eight hours)
  • Minimum five years of experience in a similar or related environment or role, including at least one year in a supervisory position
  • Minimum three years of experience supporting children with specific inclusion needs
  • Strong abilities and experience in team leadership and staff supervision
  • Proven abilities to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Excellent communication, writing, planning, problem-solving, and computer skills
