About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Specialist to join our team at Harshida Sharma. As a Personal Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Housekeeping and Cleaning: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Companionship: Provide companionship and social support to clients, engaging in activities such as conversation, reading, and watching movies.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals to clients, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Schedule: 35 to 44 hours per week.
Work Environment

As a Personal Care Specialist with Harshida Sharma, you will work in a non-smoking environment, with optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. You will be required to work in the employer's/client's home, providing care and support to clients in a safe and respectful manner.

Physical Demands
  • Bending and Lifting: Ability to bend, crouch, and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Standing and Walking: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day.
  • Repetitive Tasks: Ability to perform repetitive tasks with minimal rest.
