About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Sajan Sajan, Manjeet Kaur. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Care for Pets: Provide care and attention to clients' pets, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Administer Bedside and Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Administer Medications: Safely administer medications to clients as prescribed by their healthcare providers.
  • Assist Clients in Water: Accompany clients to pools or other water-based activities, providing support and assistance as needed.
  • Assist with Bathing and Personal Hygiene: Help clients maintain their personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, and using the bathroom.
  • Assist in Regular Exercise: Encourage and support clients in engaging in regular exercise, such as walking or other physical activities.
  • Change Non-Sterile Dressings: Change dressings on clients' wounds or injuries, following proper infection control procedures.
  • Collect Specimens: Collect urine or other specimens from clients for laboratory testing, as required.
  • Demonstrate Infant Care: Teach new parents how to care for their infants, including feeding, bathing, and soothing techniques.
  • Feed or Assist with Feeding: Assist clients with feeding themselves, including preparing and serving meals.
  • Launder Clothing and Household Linens: Wash, dry, and fold clients' clothing and household linens.
  • Mend Clothing and Linens: Repair torn or damaged clothing and linens, as needed.
  • Perform Light Housekeeping and Cleaning Duties: Clean and maintain clients' homes, including dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms and kitchens.
  • Plan Therapeutic Diets and Menus: Work with clients to develop personalized meal plans that meet their nutritional needs and dietary restrictions.
  • Provide Companionship: Spend quality time with clients, engaging in activities and conversations that promote social interaction and emotional well-being.
  • Provide Personal Care: Assist clients with personal care activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Shop for Food and Household Supplies: Purchase groceries and household supplies for clients, as needed.
  • Prepare and Serve Nutritious Meals: Prepare and serve healthy meals to clients, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences.
  • Cook: Prepare and cook meals for clients, using fresh ingredients and healthy cooking methods.
Certificates, Licenses, Memberships, and Courses
  • CPR Certificate: Possess a current CPR certification, demonstrating your ability to respond to medical emergencies.
  • First Aid Certificate: Hold a current first aid certification, indicating your knowledge of basic first aid techniques.
