About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Imperva. As a Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in analyzing detection mechanisms in production and identifying new advanced bot behaviors. Your expertise in data analysis and machine learning will enable you to design and implement new bot detection methods, ensuring the security and integrity of our solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze false positives for detection mechanisms to refine our product.
  • Identify and isolate new advanced bot behaviors to stay ahead of emerging threats.
  • Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and software engineers to understand business objectives and customer pain points.
  • Engage with customers and frontline teams to better understand use cases and pain points.
  • Design and implement new bot detection methods to enhance our solutions.
Requirements
  • Advanced degree in Data Science, Data Analysis, Statistics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience performing data analysis and machine learning.
  • Proficiency in analytical programming in Python, R, or Julia.
  • In-depth knowledge of data processing and analysis libraries such as Pandas or R's tidyverse.
  • In-depth understanding of SQL and data structures.
  • Familiarity with machine learning principles and techniques.
  • Ability to communicate insights in layman's terms to stakeholders to inform product decisions.
