About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Commercial Property Loss Adjuster to join our team in Nova Scotia. As a key member of our major loss team, you will play a critical role in managing the appraisal process for large commercial and personal property losses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine and complete the scope of large losses, and prepare detailed repair estimates of damaged buildings.
  • Travel on short notice to customers' locations to conduct inspections and provide excellent customer service.
  • Deliver accurate and timely repair estimates, and negotiate with vendors to obtain restoration cost agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external claims adjusters to ensure seamless communication and efficient claims processing.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in post-claim appraisal, with at least two years in large losses.
  • A diploma in building appraisal or a relevant combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Technical and practical knowledge of restoration of damaged buildings.
  • High-level knowledge of Xactimate estimating software.
