We are seeking an exceptional Data Insights Strategist to join our team at Yukon University. This is a full-time, on-site position located at the Ayamdigut Campus in Whitehorse.

About the RoleWe are seeking a Data Insights Strategist to help uphold our commitment to public accountability by providing reports, data, and key performance metrics that track advancement of our Strategic Plan, Becoming. As a vital resource for the institution, Institutional Research will provide business intelligence, develop key performance metrics, and provide analytics, reports, and system-level comparisons to support Yukon University in measuring and upholding accountabilities at the territorial level and across the national post-secondary sector.
The successful candidate will oversee the collection, modeling, analysis, interpretation, reporting, and dissemination of information that will allow key stakeholder groups to predict, monitor, and evaluate performance on key institutional initiatives in alignment with Yukon University's Strategic Plan and its affiliated planning documents.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a comprehensive and ongoing culture of institutional data collection, analysis, management, and dissemination in support of planning and decision-making at all levels of university operations.
- Coordinate and prepare planning and resource materials for governance and decision-making groups of the university, including the Board of Governors, President Executive Committee, and Senior Executive Committee.
- Provide data and information and official statistics for both internal and external reporting in a manner appropriate to the audience and circumstances.
- Oversee federal accountability reporting, ensuring timely submissions to Statistics Canada.
- Cultivate relationships with divisional leaders and internal clients to optimize business intelligence products and related processes and systems.
We are looking for a highly qualified candidate with:
- A Master's degree in a related field (Information Systems, Business Intelligence, Business Analytics) or a Master's degree with demonstrated experience working with data for status indicators and assessment, planning, and decision-making.
- Experience with multiple data indicators, sources, and platforms for business intelligence reporting and data visualization.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize complex data sets and communicate critical information to stakeholders.
- Progressively increasing responsibility and experience in research and planning, preferably in a corporate or institutional research office or similar function.
This is a full-time, on-site position with a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $105,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package.
