Job Title: Insurance Risk Evaluator

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Risk Evaluator to join our team at Mandeep S. Dandiwal Insurance & Financial Services Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing individual and group applications for insurance, evaluating new and renewal applications to determine insurance risks, insurance premiums, extent of coverage and other conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review individual and group applications for insurance
  • Evaluate new and renewal applications to determine insurance risks, insurance premiums, extent of coverage and other conditions
  • Use medical reports, rate tables and other documents to determine coverage
  • Approve sale of insurance policies
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations
  • Provide recommendations on individual or group insurance plan designs
  • Provide underwriting advice
  • Answer inquiries from clients and other company personnel
  • Prepare underwriting reports

Requirements:

  • Provincial or territorial licence
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in liability insurance, business risk insurance, automobile insurance, fire insurance, health insurance, life insurance products, and property insurance
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Client focus, dependability, efficiency, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, and team player
