Job Summary

Mandeep S. Dandiwal Insurance & Financial Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Insurance Risk Evaluator to join our team. As an Insurance Risk Evaluator, you will be responsible for reviewing individual and group applications for insurance, evaluating new and renewal applications to determine insurance risks, insurance premiums, extent of coverage and other conditions, and ensuring compliance with government regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review individual and group applications for insurance to determine risk levels and premiums
  • Evaluate new and renewal applications to determine insurance risks, insurance premiums, extent of coverage and other conditions
  • Use medical reports, rate tables and other documents to determine coverage
  • Approve sale of insurance policies
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations
  • Provide recommendations on individual or group insurance plan designs
  • Provide underwriting advice
  • Answer inquiries from clients and other company personnel
  • Prepare underwriting reports
Requirements
  • Provincial or territorial licence
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in liability insurance, business risk insurance, automobile insurance, fire insurance, health insurance, life insurance products, or property insurance
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Client focus and dependability
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and flexibility
