Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer, Nuclear New Build

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for executing commercial and internal work packages and projects related to machine design and process systems.

Responsibilities:

* Perform conceptual and detail design engineering work on mechanical equipment and systems, including process-related design on D2O, oil hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
* Lead technical staff on a variety of tasks in design, development, procurement, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and commissioning.
* Prepare design documentation, including design requirements, design descriptions, design specifications, technical specifications, component specifications, test procedures, and plans.
* Review design reports, analysis reports, calculations, documents, and drawings in support of design verification.
* Conduct technical, conceptual, and detail design meetings in front of peers, clients, and suppliers.
* Provide technical guidance to design drafting staff and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements:

* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics from an accredited University with a minimum of 10 years of experience in machine, automation, equipment, and/or tooling design, or 10 years of experience in the fluid power, oil hydraulic control, and/or water process control industry.
* Solid understanding of mechanics of machine, mechanics of materials, material selection, and fundamentals of machine component design.
* Solid understanding of fluid mechanics and process system control design, including open and closed loop oil hydraulic circuit design.
* Knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section II, III, V, VIII, and IX is an asset.
* Knowledge of general requirements for pressure-retaining systems and components in CANDU nuclear power plants CSA N285.0 code is an asset.
* Knowledge of boiler, pressure vessel, and pressure piping CSA B51 code is an asset.
* CAD experience in Solid Edge or Solid Works is an asset.
