As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and executing mine water management services that ensure high-quality management of assessment, design, and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with clients to understand their water management needs and develop strategies to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
- Lead technical teams to deliver water management projects that meet client expectations and align with established objectives.
- Guide and direct team members to ensure operational and technical excellence.
- Explore innovative technologies for sustainable water management and develop approaches to address water-related challenges.
- Maintain current knowledge of environmental regulations and permit requirements to assist clients in obtaining and complying with necessary permits.
- Develop and manage technical project work, schedules, and budgets in concert with business objectives and constraints.
- Develop and manage risk assessments and mitigation plans.
- Support project management within a collaborative team, including review of project submittals and correspondence.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, geoscience, or environmental science and at least 15 years of engineering experience; OR a master's degree in engineering preferred and at least 13 years of engineering experience; OR a doctoral degree in engineering.
- Broad knowledge of water resource management needs, including assessment and prediction of mine water quality, mine water treatment, waste rock management, tailings management, and drainage.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license or Certified Environmental Professional (CEP).
- Experience in overseeing science and engineering consulting projects related to mine water management.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
