About This Opportunity

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Family Medicine Physician to join our collaborative team of healthcare professionals. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and coordinate community-based care, secondary, and tertiary level healthcare services.
  • Build a strong relationship with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to ensure a continuum of care.
  • Operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority.
  • Work towards same-day or next-day access for the practice population.
  • Collaborate with other team members to best suit the community's health needs.
  • Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities.
  • Utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and record all relevant patient details.
Expected Hours and Qualifications
  • Full-time position with clinic hours: Monday - Friday.
  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
  • Eligibility for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
  • Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
