Job Summary

Zida Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Childhood Program Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure the delivery of high-quality programs.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Order supplies and equipment to support program delivery.
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
  • Establish guidelines for behaviour and ensure a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in early childhood education.
  • College/CEGEP diploma in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations and ability to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
