Job Title: Early Childhood Supervisor

Zida Academy is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our childcare team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our early childhood programs, ensuring the highest quality care and education for our young students.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality programs.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Order supplies and equipment, ensuring that our programs are well-resourced and equipped to meet the needs of our students.
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.
  • Establish guidelines for behavior, promoting a positive and respectful learning environment.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children, ensuring that our team is working together to achieve our goals.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children, building strong partnerships to support the needs of our students.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, ensuring that our programs are safe and supportive.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality programs.
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience in early childhood education, with a focus on program development and supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of licensing regulations and standards, with the ability to ensure compliance in our programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and community partners.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a positive and respectful learning environment, promoting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
