About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Head Chef to join our team at Jiwen Garden Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for planning and preparing menus, estimating food requirements, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine the size of food portions and costs
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 35 hours per week
